POSHAN Project: In Collaboration with ANNADA – Association for Nutrition and Development Action and Supported by United Way Mumbai [2016-2020]

• The project POSHAN focused on malnutrition and provided nutritional support (premix food items – Upma, Poha, Soyabean Laddu, Ragi Laddu, Wheat Laddu) to 1200 kids in Karjat and 837 kids in Panvel.
• Awareness sessions had been conducted with the families and kitchen gardens were started by mobilizing mothers in 8 Anganwadi; 4 in Karjat and 4 in Panvel. The vegetables grown in these Anganwadi were added to the khichdi made for the children at these Aanganwadis.
• The project achieved 100% success as all 2037 children, including the 52 severely malnourished children admitted to D.Y. Patil Nerul Hospital, had recovered from malnutrition.
